Yoga & Cycling Holiday
Yoga & Cycling In Girona
Seven nights in a beautiful 17th-century Catalonian homestead near Banyoles, combining guided cycling, daily yoga, nourishing food and the warm light of the Girona countryside.
This is a holiday for active people who love being outdoors. Ride the quiet roads and gravel tracks of the Costa Brava hinterland, take on iconic local climbs if you wish, then return to yoga, supper, the pool and proper rest.
The week is flexible by design. Cycling, yoga and exploring are all there for you, but nothing is forced. Come for the riding, the practice, the company, or simply for a steadier week in a beautiful place.
What The Week Includes
The Cycling
This is some of the best cycling country in Europe: Rocacorba, rolling lanes around Banyoles, undiscovered gravel, medieval villages and the wider Girona road network loved by riders from around the world.
There are guided rides on most days, with two ride options where numbers allow: one shorter and more relaxed, one longer and more ambitious. E-bikes make the week possible for mixed-ability groups, and the emphasis is always on riding together well. No one gets left behind.
High-end road, gravel and electric bikes are available from Rocacorba Cycling on site. Bring your own bike if you prefer. Good padded shorts and comfortable riding kit are strongly recommended.

The Yoga
The yoga is curated around the needs of cyclists and active bodies, but the teachings are not watered down. Emma draws on Sivananda, Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions, bringing clarity, breath and steadiness to the week.
Expect four morning sessions of around 60 minutes and four evening restorative sessions of around 90 minutes. Morning practice begins at 07:30; evening restorative yoga begins at 17:15.
Depending on the weather, yoga is held alfresco in the Dutch barn or inside the main house. All mats, blocks, straps and props are provided.
The Teacher
“I love language, stories, philosophy and poetry, which I weave into my classes. My teaching approach combines clarity and precision with a balance of strength and gentle ease.”
Emma is a senior yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, a yoga elder and a yoga mentor. She has been steeping in the ancient teachings of yoga for nearly thirty years, and remains always the student.
Her teaching is a heartfelt wish to share yoga in ways that support a well-lived life: curiously, uniquely, with dedication and devotion.

Accommodation
Can Campolier, 1734, sits in the quiet countryside of Porqueres, just minutes from the extraordinary lake at Banyoles. Ancient stone walls, an orange grove and the warm light of the Costa Brava hinterland make this a genuinely beautiful place to settle into for a week.
Each room has an en-suite or private bathroom. There is an outdoor swimming pool, sauna, bedroom safes, hairdryers and Wi-Fi throughout. Locally produced toiletries are provided, and massages can be booked on site.
Check-in is from 2pm on Saturday; check-out is by 10am the following Saturday. If you arrive early, you are welcome to drop your luggage and explore.
The Food
Expect generous food rooted in Catalan tradition: hearty brunches before or after riding, two-course evening meals, afternoon teas with homemade cake and one evening meal out locally.
Everything is made with care using local and seasonal produce: vegetables, olive oil, fresh bread and the flavours of the Costa Brava hinterland.
Most dietary requirements can be accommodated; please let Emma know in advance. There is also an honesty bar and drinks can be purchased with meals in addition to the retreat price.

Exploring The Area
Banyoles lake is five minutes away: beautiful for swimming, paddleboarding, walking or sitting quietly by the water. The medieval town has a weekend market and a well-stocked village shop is open daily.
Girona old town is around 20 minutes by car, with ancient walls, the cathedral, the Jewish quarter and the coloured houses reflected in the river. Thursday is the rest day and an ideal time to go.
There are also easy trips to Besalú, Pals and the Dalí Museum, alongside countless quiet lanes and villages to discover by bike.
