Seven nights in a 17th-century Catalonian homestead. Ancient stone walls, an orange grove, and the warm light of the Costa Brava hinterland. A week to slow down, go inward, and let yoga do what yoga does best.
This is a retreat for people who take their practice seriously — not beginners, but those who have been showing up on the mat for at least two years and want to go deeper.
There are no gimmicks and no goodie bags. Just yoga, good food, and a beautiful corner of Spain.
This approach has evolved into a flowing, healing and therapeutic exploration of the hatha yoga path — vinyasa, clarity of form and spiritual inquiry. This is a practice to the heart of your essence through yoga teachings and methods. Our interest and theme for the week is how to incorporate this realistically into life beyond retreat.
There are no gimmicks and no goodie bags. The undiluted teachings of yoga are more than enough for a few lifetimes. This week is aimed at guests who have a minimum of two years of consistent yoga practice. All mats, props and equipment are provided — in the beautiful outdoor space or inside the main house, depending on the weather.

“I love language, stories, philosophy and poetry, which I weave into my classes. My teaching approach combines clarity and precision with a balance of strength and gentle ease. I am a senior yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, a yoga elder and a yoga mentor.”
Emma Spencer-Goodier remains always the student. She has been steeping in the ancient teachings of yoga for nearly thirty years. Her teaching is a heartfelt wish to share yoga in ways that support a well-lived life. Curiously, uniquely, with dedication and devotion.
Can Campolier, 1734, sits in the quiet countryside of Porqueres, just minutes from the extraordinary lake at Banyoles. Ancient stone walls, an orange grove and the warm light of the Costa Brava hinterland make this a genuinely beautiful place to settle into for a week.
Each room has an en-suite or private bathroom. There is an outdoor swimming pool, sauna, and Wi-Fi throughout. Locally produced toiletries are provided in every bathroom. Massages can be booked on site. On-site cycle hire is available — road, gravel and electric bikes.

Expect generous, nourishing food rooted in Catalan tradition. Brunch is served after the morning practice, supper after the evening session.
Everything is made on site using local and seasonal produce — vegetables, olive oil, fresh bread, and the flavours of the Costa Brava hinterland. Dietary requirements are catered for; just let us know in advance.
Banyoles lake is five minutes away — one of the most beautiful stretches of water in Spain, and the rowing venue for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Girona old town is 20 minutes by car — a medieval walled city with a cathedral, Jewish quarter, and excellent restaurants. Thursday is your free day and the ideal time to go. On-site cycle hire means the quiet country roads of the Costa Brava hinterland are yours from the moment you arrive.
Fly into Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO) — just 35 minutes from Can Campolier. Shared taxi transfers can be co-ordinated at around €60 split between guests. Alternatively, fly into Barcelona El Prat (BCN) and take a direct train to Girona (40 minutes), then the TEISA E1 bus via Banyoles. If you're driving, head for Porqueres near Banyoles — secure parking is on site.
